Last Friday, as every year, an energetic group of kids from Erding and sorroundings spent a fun day at the ballpark in Erding / Schollbach. In the morning, the focus was on learning the basics – throwing, fielding, batting, running and the rules. After the lunch break, the 19 participants, augmented by 6 tossball players, played an exciting game over five innings. The “Yankees” (coached by Gerald Vogel) took an early lead after the second inning, however the “Cubs” (coach: Jürgen Schulz) caught up and won the game by 43:37. Headcoach of the day was Anders Lind; event organizer was Melanie Benglan. We had great help from the tossball players and especially from Noel Breil.
