The bad streak continues. The Mallards lost both games against the local rivals Schwaig Red Lions, now having lost 6 games out of 6 so far.
From the second inning on, the guests pulled ahead. Although the home team did hit most of the pitches thrown at them, but the Red Lions defense was too good, letting only few runners on base. The fourth inning was the only exception; here the Mallards did have a nice streak of hits, allowing them to shorten the opponent’s lead. The own defense worked a bit better than against the Raiders, but two unsuccessful rundowns clearly show the need for better coordination between the individual players. The two errors came at a bad time, and allowed 6 additional runs.
Best batters: Stefan Göttler (1 Run, 3 Hits) and Jörg Baumgärtner (2 Runs, 1 Hit).
Losing Pitcher: Albin Huber.

Junior player Benedikt Dangl started the pitching in the second game. He would wind up allowing 13 runs, not due to particularly bad pitching from his side, but rather because the opposite team did a good job of reading his pitches and hit the balls over the infield. Dangl only allowed 2 walks and 1 hit by pitch against 21 batters, which is a good result. The Mallards committed 5 errors in the second game, however this time this did not contribute to the end result much. The game was ended after the 4th inning by mercy rule. Stefan Göttler did a good job as relieving pitcher.
Best batter: Jörg Baumgärtner (1 Run, 2 Hits).
Losing Pitcher: Benedikt Dangl.
